I love to hear from people who are interested in finding out how I can work with their groups.
I have extensive experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
I’ve recently been the Irish Writers Centre Roaming Writer in Residence on the railways, Community Writer in Residence with Womens Aid and Artist in Residence with the Belfast International Arts Festival.
I’ve led poetry, story writing and script writing workshops for Poetry in Motion, Poetry Ireland Writers in Schools, BBC, Prison Arts Foundation, NIACRO, Terra Nova Theatre Company, ArtsEkta, Big Telly Theatre Company, Queen’s MA in Creative Writing, the University of Ulster, Verbal Arts Centre, Clotworthy Arts Centre, An Creagan, Northern Ireland Screen, Libraries NI, Monaghan Libraries, 6 Artscare Here & Now Festivals, Stroke NI, the WEA, Consensus, ICTU, Belfast Unemployed Resource Centre and several writers’ groups.
I’ve worked with many hard to reach and stigmatised groups such as groups affected by HIV, survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, recovering addicts, ex combatants, homeless people, children in care, people with learning disabilities, refugees and women on probation.
I love to make writing accessible for everyone.
I’ve also worked independently in primary and secondary schools, so feel free to contact me about coming to your school. If you prefer to partner with someone, I’m also on the Poetry Ireland Writers in Schools list of facilitators.
